Position Location: 305 Travis Ln, Waukesha, WI 53189

Position Hours: FULLTIME 3rd shift: Thursday thru Saturday 6 PM to 6 AM and then Wednesday 12 AM to 6 AM (receive 13% 3rd shift premium)
Position Wage: Starting at $20 per hour (plus based on experience)

Job Description: The Ipsen Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe & efficient operation of all Tempering and Ipsen cell equipment. Properly inspecting, loading, unloading, programing & monitoring furnaces will be the focus for this role. Promptly reporting any concerns to the shift foreman will be crucial as well.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Understand Tagging, Transfer, & Lot Control Procedures
  • Proper loading & racking of parts to minimize distortion
  • Proper startup/shut down, loading/unloading procedures for all cell equipment
  • Determine proper inspection location for AQ testing per
o ASTM E-18 Rockwell hardness testing
o ASTM E-10 Brinell hardness testing
o ASTM A 956 Leeb hardness testing
  • Understand tempering guidelines based off AQ hardness readings
  • Operator will be responsible for the following set up and monitoring at a minimum
o Temperature controller
o Over-temperature controller
o Chart recorders
o Furnace thermo-couples
o Agitation monitoring
o Oil temperature monitoring – cooling / heating / levels
  • Operations of cryo-genic boxes including the following
o Loading and unloading
o Temperature controller settings
o Startup / shut down
  • Proper gas flows including the following
o Natural gas
o Endothermic gas
o Nitrogen gas
o Ammonia gas
  • Safe & efficient operations of all production equipment
  • Prioritize processing based on schedule
  • Perform inspection using correct methods
  • Document & report any maintenance issues to shift foreman
  • Monitor & program all furnaces to process correct parameters
  • Walk through the shop once an hour to inspect each furnace for accuracy & ensure their cell is running efficiently
  • Understand the processing of all material within production areas
  • Ensure plant organization & cleanliness
Minimum Requirements:
All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test & background check.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Acquire/maintain forklift certification
Experience: prior factory work preferred
