Position Hours: FULLTIME:1st shift Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Wage: $20 - $25 per hour
Salaries are based on a number of factors, including the skills and experience of the candidates. It is common to be hired at the lower to middle end of a salary range and while it is possible to be hired at the higher end, it often requires unique circumstances, such as proven expertise.

Job Description: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for collaborating with all other Quality functions, providing resources and assistance, & ensuring the consistent flow of product through the lab work center.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform metallurgical evaluations to determine the microstructure and case depth of heat-treated samples
- Document lab results in BlueStreak, the in-house operating system
- Perform various other metallurgical evaluations including but not limited to spectroscopy, grain flow and grain size
- Section and prepare samples for evaluation
- Coordinate the outsourcing of parts needing third-party evaluation
- Perform micro hardness testing
- Document and interpret photographs of sample microstructures
- Perform basic maintenance on all lab equipment
- Calibrate equipment as needed
- Monitor and maintain lab supplies
- Verify tags are accurate and complete
- Maintain the sample archive
- Prepare items for transfer between various work centers
- Generate, fill out, and assist in the investigation of non-conformances
- Coordinate with lab personnel to ensure due dates are met and information flows to the correct individuals
- Ensure lab organization and cleanliness

Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, a non-resident authorized to work in the U.S. without ThermTech sponsorship). ThermTech does not sponsor visas, either at time of hire or at any later time.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be a lawful permanent resident [8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20)] or a protected individual [8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)]. Employment of Foreign Person(s) [22 CFR 120.63] will be contingent on receiving the DSP-5 license from the US State Department.
- All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test & background check.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- May be required to obtain and maintain forklift operation
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education preferred.

- Previous laboratory and/or heat treat experience considered a plus
