Position Location: 305 Travis Ln, Waukesha, WI 53189
Position Hours: 1st Shift, 12 Hour Shifts Sunday - Wednesday: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and then Wednesday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Position Wage: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Salaries are based on a number of factors, including the skills and experience of the candidates. It is common to be hired at the lower to middle end of a salary range and while it is possible to be hired at the higher end, it often requires unique circumstances, such as proven expertise.

Job Description:
The Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring the plant is being run efficiently and safely by ensuring schedules are being met for customers, personnel are properly trained, assisting with production when needed, keeping proper documentation & records, ensuring proper safety equipment & protocol are being utilized, & overall keeping the shop morale high. Being able to not only oversee but being proactive by assisting team members to accomplish the day's goals will be crucial.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Production - Work closely with employees on shift to accomplish set schedules & commitments
- Scheduling of work & communicating as needed with customers
- Oversee operations on production floor
- Understand the processing of all material within production areas
- Ensure plant organization & cleanliness
- Document all maintenance concerns
- Coordinate with Maintenance Department for any equipment repairs
- Document & report all equipment issues to Plant Manager
Team Development & Training- Working one on one with employees to help in their overall performance
- Complete semi-annual employee reviews for all team members
- Provide training, coaching, & disciplinary actions for all team members
- Maintain documentation of training for employees
- Conduct startup of new equipment & record all training documents needed
- Weekly goals assessments of all individuals in temp to hire status
- Monthly goal assessments of all ThermTech employees in collaboration with shift foreman
Leadership- Follow & enforce procedures
- Complete shift audit forms
- Manage inter-shift meetings and participate in hourly plant walk-through
- Ensure adequate shift coverage through employee scheduling & cover hours as needed
- Bring company phone home to assist in after-hour issues when needed
- Communicate lead times to CSR Department & directly to customers
- Maintains & strengthens employee morale through the servant leadership philosophy
- Provide constructive recommendations for overall improvements in safety, quality & productivity standards of performance.

Minimum Requirements:

- This position must satisfy ITAR (DSP-5) compliance requirements; therefore, candidates must be a lawful permanent resident [8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20)] or a protected individual [8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)]. Employment of Foreign Persons(s) [22 CFR 120.63] will be contingent on receiving the DSP-5 license from the US State Department.
- All hires are contingent upon a 9-panel hair follicle drug test & background check.
- May be required to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of but are not limited to the following:
- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Capable of lifting and carrying at least 25-pound objects throughout shift
- Must be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform fundamental mathematical skills and concepts (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and the basics of algebra and geometry).
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 2+ years in management/leadership preferred
